Andi Petrillo began her broadcasting career at the young age of 19 with Rogers Cable York Region, a station just outside Toronto, Ontario. During her time there, Andi hosted and produced a variety of high school and amateur sports.
Andi joined LEAFS TV as a reporter in the 2006 season, providing pre and post game interviews and feature pieces. In the 2008 season, Andi’s role evolved into the host of the pre-game and post-game shows. That same year, Andi began working on the soccer broadcasts for Toronto FC as host and sideline reporter and also took her talents to the world of basketball as host of ‘Gate 5 Live’ for Raptors TV.
In 2011, Andi joined CBC Sports. She hosted ‘GameDay,’ a one hour NHL hockey show, and was also a reporter on the flagship hockey show of Canada: ‘Hockey Night in Canada.’ In 2012, Andi became the first woman to join the HNIC studio crew on a full-time basis when she became host of the Chevrolet i-Desk.
For the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, Andi hosted the overnight show and provided radio commentary for the Canadian women’s hockey games. Later that year, Andi once again hosted another major international sporting event, the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil.
